My friend Jana and I decided to involve our school district in on our plan to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. We created a team named Cooper vs. Cancer and our goal was to have 25 members participate in the race and to raise $1000. So far we have 11 members and $300. However, today I received news that our high school cross country team voted to run in the Race for the Cure instead of going to their cross country meet on Oct. 4th! Isn't that awesome?? That is going to add about 20 members to our team! We are now looking for someone to "sponsor" us and buy us T-shirts! Jennifer Colley's (friend and co-worker) husband said he would design us shirts and I'd love to be able to give each member of our team a shirt, bought by our "still unknown" sponsor. I am so excited about all of this. This Race has made me get off my rear and start running again and now I feel like, not only am I getting in shape, but I am contributing to a GREAT cause! If you want to join our team, let me know!!

Do you teach at Cooper North? That's where I student taught in 1st grade. I'm drawing a blank on the name of the teacher I worked with. Oh, Becky Vines. Do you know her? And of course, Tyler Harrist's mom works in 3rd grade. Tyler, Blake, and I are like the three musketeers. I'm rambling...
Hey hon,
I hope you are okay today..I know it will be tough. I hope you were able to have a great time at the concert...you have one sweet hubby. Check your calendar, b/c we need to plan our visit!
I just read about Becky's daughter. I can't believe it. Blake's parents told me there was a wreck, but they didn't say who it was. They don't know that I know the Vines. How terrible.
I taught with Becky in 2004. Her class was my student teaching class. I was later offered a job there, but moved to Dallas to teach instead.
Thank you for sending me the website. I can't imagine what The Vine Family is going through.
